USA
-Former US president Donald Trump has been indicted on criminal charges in New York. Details on specific charges are still withheld, with public release expected in the coming days. This makes Trump the first current or ex-president to face charges.
-US equities have exhibited another strong day with the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Dow Jones all trading up, as confidence is restored across the banking and finance sector.
UK
-The FTSE 100 has continued to rally gaining a further +0.74% during Thursdays trading session.
-The UK are set to join the CPTPP trade agreement providing British businesses with access to the 11 member states including Canada, Australia, Vietnam, Mexico and Singapore.

-As unrest continue across France, President Macron has reinforced his stance on the controversial pension reforms announced earlier in March, with the leader increasingly unlikely to back down.
-Finland’s entry to the defence alliance NATO was approved on Thursday, after Turkey voted in favour of the addition. Finland will therefore become the 31st NATO member state after formally applying in 2022, a response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
